Hong Kong

After a couple of weeks in the UK, catching up with friends and family (we won’t bore you with the photo’s) we hopped on a plane and flew back to New Zealand via Hong Kong. The two nights we spent in Hong Kong were wonderful. The city is like nothing else we had encountered – enormous, vibrant, dazzling and best seen at night. Unfortunately our camera doesn’t do nights very well and a new camera in Hong Kong would have been nice but hardly a priority for two long term unemployed folks such as ourselves. So here are a few images of our two days in Hong Kong. Enjoy.

So now we’re back in our home in Palmerston North. It’s been well looked after and we settled back in quite quickly. We have internet – broadband soon. Email addresses remain the same and we’ll be in touch with phone numbers etc. soon.

We’re both looking for work. I’ve started doing some day to day relief teaching and Jane is doing lunch with old friends while the agencies do the hard yards. We should have a car soon and we’re off to see Crowded House in Wellington next week. It’s nice to be back, meeting up with friends and family but we both agree, our travelling days are far from over and we are missing you all already (mind you it’s time people came to visit us!). Watch this space.

Disclaimer: If you are a prospective employer who has come across this page by accident or design, please ignore that last sentence. We love Palmerston North and if you want to give us a job we’ll be here for ever and ever and ever…
